A service developed by the medical profession, for the medical profession, Drs4Drs is here to help you.

Drs4Drs are here to help doctors and medical students stay healthy and to provide support when needed.

Doctors, of course, experience health problems just as their patients do. But with the added challenges of COVID, bushfires and floods, long working hours, pressure to perform in the workplace, in training programs and exams, doctors can be even more susceptible to suffering from stress and burnout.

Drs4Drs are here to help you find the support you need – online resources, referral services and importantly for wellbeing, and to help you find a GP.

Drs4Drs has been developed by the medical profession for the medical profession. Through a network of doctors’ health advisory and referral services, Drs4Drs offers independent, safe, supportive and confidential services.

Each State and Territory has its own helpline which is staffed by senior GPs and experienced counsellors trained in doctors’ health.  While these services do not offer crisis or emergency support, they are a first point of contact to a colleague. Learn more at drs4drs.com.au/getting-help

In addition, Drs4Drs has established a mental health support service 1300 Dr4Drs (1300 374 377) for doctors and medical students, which is free, confidential, 24/7 and provides crisis as well as non-urgent mental health support.

The service is supported by trained and experienced counsellors and psychologists who have completed the “Be a Doctor for Doctors” on-line learning modules in addition to their own professional qualifications.
