DEA’s annual conference brings together medical professionals and students to discuss climate change and health.

Doctors for the Environment Australia (DEA) is a not-for-profit organisation of doctors who are working to improve public health by promoting greater care for the environment.

DEA's annual conference—iDEA—will be held in Melbourne over this coming weekend over the 2nd-4th of September 2022 at the University of Melbourne.

DEA has a long record of supporting medical professionals to become high-impact change makers within their organisations, professional networks and communities. DEA recently co-hosted a webinar with the AMA examining the steps that healthcare professionals and organisations are taking to reduce their impact on the environment.

The 2-22 iDEA conference theme is “Time to Act.” DEA aims to inspire an audience of over 200 medical professionals to transform their lives, workplaces, communities and world, to be more healthy, sustainable and just.

Conference speakers include Professor Brett Sutton, Professor Judith Brett, Dr Eugenie Kayak, and Simon Holmes à Court.
