Rural doctors invited to join National Rural and Remote Health Awards

Rural doctors are invited to enter their nominations for Rural Health Pro’s National Rural and Remote Health Awards.

Rural Health Pro has launched National Rural and Remote Health Awards to pay tribute to exceptional health professionals who have contributed to improving healthcare throughout rural and remote Australia.

Rural doctors are invited to enter their nominations for excellence in ten categories no later than 31 August.

Rural Health Pro is established by NSW Rural Doctors Network to connect health professionals and organisations who care about rural communities, and to inspire and support them in their work.

The main objective of the award is to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of primary healthcare providers, individuals and organisations in regional Australia.

This will hopefully inspire future leaders in the field and encourage the enhancement of rural and remote health.

These awards acknowledge the unwavering dedication of individuals and organisations in keeping rural and remote communities healthy and serve as a morale booster for teams and the broader healthcare workforce.

The award recipients will be announced at the ceremony in Mural Hall at Parliament House Canberra on Monday 13 November 2023.

The event will gather various stakeholders from the rural and remote health sectors, creating a platform to showcase and honour the extraordinary endeavours of these outstanding individuals and organisations, including the AMA.
