New DVA quick tip for health providers on billing for compensation claims

The Department of Veteran’s Affairs has released a new quick tip to help health providers understand the requirements when billing for compensation claims.

The DVA’s new printable quick tip provides guidance on billing for each step of the way.

From 1 February 2024 invoices for compensation claims will only be paid if uploaded via the Provider Upload Page (PUP) using the Transaction Reference Number, or submitted with evidence of a DVA request.

As a short-term measure, up until 31 January 2024, invoices without a TRN can be submitted directly to compensation.claims@dva.gov.au. However, the DVA encourages you to wait for a request for information from DVA as payment for this work is not guaranteed.

Remember, the PUP is the fastest and most convenient way to get your invoices paid.
