The AMA Managing Disruptive Clinicians workshop, facilitated by AIHE, is tailored for you!

This workshop provides healthcare leaders with an immersive and interactive experience to learn best-practice strategies, and equip themselves with their own effective own toolkit for managing disruptive clinicians.

Using AIHE exclusive teaching methodology and real-life case studies designed by leading healthcare specialists, participants will gain knowledge on the fundamentals and practical strategies for identifying and responding to challenging behaviour in your work environment. 


Learning objectives

By the end of the program, participants will:

  • identify and recognise early markers and learn crisis intervention techniques for responding to confronting scenarios
  • recognise the link between disruptive behaviour, patient harm, clinical outcomes and operational performance
  • identify the duties and responsibilities of a healthcare leaders in managing disruptive and/or impaired clinicians
  • undertake procedurally fair investigative processes, and respond to confronting situations and difficult conversations.

Who should attend?

This workshop is designed for clinicians who want to build confidence and practical skills in leadership and managing challenging or disruptive behaviour.
It is particularly relevant for:

  • Clinicians transitioning into leadership or management roles
  • Clinicians in formal or informal leadership roles, including senior clinicians, directors, supervisors, managers, clinical leads and department heads
  • Clinicians involved in managing teams, student supervision or performance concerns
  • Healthcare leaders who have staff reporting to them directly or indirectly
  • Medical practitioners seeking practical strategies to respond to confronting situations while maintaining patient safety and professional standards

The program is suitable for clinicians across career stages. No prior leadership training is required.
