ReturnToWorkSA 2023-2024 Scheme Update

ReturnToWorkSA is responsible for providing work injury insurance and regulating the South Australian Return to Work scheme. It provides insurance that protects South Australian businesses and their workers in the event of a work injury. For non-seriously injured workers, the insurance cover includes income support (for up to two years) and medical treatment, care and support costs (for up to three years). Lump sum payments are also included for economic loss and non-economic loss. For seriously injured workers, the insurance cover includes income support to retirement age and lifetime medical treatment, care and support costs.
This report provides statistical information on employers insured by ReturnToWorkSA (not self-insured) and reports annual statistics on key aspects including:
- information about claims

- information about the types of injuries that have been claimed
- industries where these occurred
- information about employer premiums
