AMACGP lobbying in action

The AMA Council of General Practice will be meeting in Canberra from 21 to 23 March to discuss key issues affecting GPs including the role of private health insurers in general practice, GP financing, tackling chronic disease and the future role of primary health care organisations. As part of these deliberations, the Minister for Health’s Chief of Staff, Ms Cath Patterson, will meet with members of the AMACGP Executive to discuss a range of GP issues and what direction the Government is looking to take now that it has settled into office.
