Public Health

The AMA works on a range of public health and medical issues that impact on the well-being of our community. These include substance misuse, indigenous health, complementary medicine, the health of medical practitioners, child and youth health, chronic disease management and the environmental determinants of health. The AMA works on a wide range of ethical issues associated with genetics, research, privacy, end of life, professional conduct, and more.
