AMA Submission to the National Health and Hospitals Reform Commission June 2008

Australia has a mostly excellent health system but with room for improvement, especially in the areas of Indigenous, rural, mental health and public hospitals.  The AMA submission makes a number of recommendations on key items including; longer term fiscal framework, General Practice, public hospitals, health workforce, accountability and performance benchmarks, health financing framework, rural and regional health care and Indigenous health care.
