Doctors' Health Working Party

This working party was formed to provide a better focus for the profession on the issues impacting on the health of doctors. Initially this focused on the hosting of the inaugural National Doctors Health Conference, in Brisbane in 11/99.

The success of this conference led to the 2nd National Conference in 2001, and support for the development of a national committee to provide means for coordination and communication of those interested and working in this area.

The committee continues to be responsive to the requests of AMAQ, providing information, advice and suggestions for the use of the AMAQ in the formation of policy and comment.

The DHWP is not a clinical service organisation, but strongly supports the work of the local DHAS.
